We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mr Fock Siew Wah.

He was our Board director for fourteen years, from 1991 to 2005. In addition, he had been Chairman and board director for many of our portfolio companies and had contributed significantly to their growth and transformation. He had always served selflessly with full dedication.

Beyond his tenure as Board director, he continued to be a mentor and advisor to us over the years, as Temasek transformed from a Singapore holding company to a global investment company. We benefited tremendously from his wise counsel, guidance, and insights.

Mr Fock’s leadership and strategic acumen has left an indelible and profound impact on many of our portfolio companies. He served as inaugural Chairman of SMRT from 1987 to 1995, Group Chairman of PSA International from 2005 till his retirement in 2019 and Chairman of Pavilion Capital from 2012 to 2024.

In addition, he served on the boards of our portfolio companies DBS (1999 to 2005), Singapore Airlines (2004 to 2008) and Mandai Park Holdings (2015 to 2017) and also the board of Temasek Trust (2019 to 2021).

Mr Fock has been a great colleague, a mentor, an advisor, and a friend. His passing is a great loss to us.
