The Temasek Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship awarded to outstanding Singapore citizens to pursue tertiary degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The scholarship is part of Temasek’s broader ‘T-Spring’ community gift, which was announced in June 2024 to mark Temasek’s 50th anniversary. This community gift aims to advance capabilities that will support a future-ready workforce in Singapore.
While there is no archetypal scholar, we are looking for candidates who possess the passion, ideas, and resilience to drive innovation and create meaningful impact in their chosen STEM field.
The Scholar will receive funding that covers the full cost of their studies e.g., course fees, allowance, and where needed, accommodation and flights.
We will also support them on their professional aspirations by offering mentorship and networking opportunities with Temasek’s network of partners and Portfolio Companies.
Through this, we hope to empower Temasek Scholars to advance their careers and pursue their passion.

The Temasek Undergraduate Local Scholarship is offered to polytechnic graduates enrolling in STEM programmes at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). SIT’s focus on industry-centric education aligns well with Temasek’s broader goal of plugging skills gap and supporting the development of a resilient workforce in Singapore.
The Temasek Undergraduate Overseas Scholarship is offered to outstanding polytechnic graduates pursuing further STEM education at a top overseas university. In addition, the overseas education will foster a global perspective in driving innovation in Singapore.
The Temasek Graduate Scholarship is offered to outstanding candidates pursuing their PhD in designated domains at top universities in Singapore. The scholarship strives to develop deep domain experts who can contribute to the growth of Singapore’s economy.
